Why Multi-Tenure SIP Comparison Matters

A single strong period is not a track record. Markets rotate. A fund that dominates over 3 years can lag over 5. Ranking on a single window rewards funds that happened to be positioned well for that stretch — not funds that compound reliably across full cycles.

SIP returns reward consistency, not entry timing. Because SIP invests at regular intervals, funds with lower volatility and steadier NAV progression tend to score well on SIP returns — even if they don't top absolute-return charts.

Longer tenures carry more meaning. A scheme with strong 10, 12 and 15 year SIP returns has survived multiple market cycles — demonstrably different from a scheme with only a strong 3-year number.

💡 Pro Tip: Use the tenure dropdown above to sort the same universe from a short-horizon lens (3 Yrs) through to a full-cycle lens (15 Yrs). Click any scheme row to see how it holds up across all tenures at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SIP return analysis?

It measures how a mutual fund scheme has performed when invested via a monthly SIP over a given tenure — 3, 5, 10, 12 or 15 years. Unlike lumpsum returns, SIP returns reflect the effect of rupee-cost averaging, which is why they can differ significantly from a scheme's point-to-point return.

How often is the data refreshed?

The underlying fund NAV data is refreshed nightly from AMFI. Every SIP return you see here is computed from the latest available NAV history.

Is this investment advice?

No. This tool is a research aid only. It does not constitute investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any scheme. Read the Scheme Information Document and consult a SEBI-registered adviser before investing.

Can I export the results?

Yes. You can export a high-resolution "Sticker" image for the on-screen table, generate a per-scheme breakdown sticker by clicking any row, or download a client-ready PDF with the full chart and breakdown.

Why can't I see every scheme in a category?

The screener returns the schemes tracked in the MFDTools universe for the selected category, sorted by the tenure you chose. If a scheme has insufficient NAV history for a given tenure, it may appear as "-" or be excluded.
